“My relationship with clergy during my teenage years has been a guiding force in my life. This whole community is vital to me — it’s my family. Everyone should have a community where they can come as they are, where they are loved and accepted. The Dominican Republic mission and Group Workcamp have changed my life. I am also changed for the better every time I come to Trinity. Here, I find faith and sustenance. I am always grateful for the chance to share a small part of that with others through our Missions.” — Griff Radulski

Christian Formation: Youth Education

We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to use: prophecy, in proportion to faith: ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness.
Rom. 12:13
Middle School Christian Formation
Trinity’s 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th graders meet Sunday mornings from 9:45am to 10:45am for fun, fellowship, food and religious investigation. Our youth room is where we explore our faith together with our peers and adult teachers who rotate leading and facilitating the class. The curriculum used to instigate discussions and learn the word of God is The Thoughtful Christian, which incorporates games, music, media, art work, role playing and service or sharing. Overnight and community activities are coordinated with events sponsored by the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut and the Town of Branford’s ecumenical community.
High School Christian Formation
Classes and activities are designed for all high school youth regardless of confirmation status or intent. Exploring our faith is a life long endeavor and one never graduates from spiritual growth! High school youth at Trinity are asked to be a part of worship and service ministries that fit their interests and areas of concern. For high school students not yet confirmed, a new program is being introduced called Confirm Not Conform (CnC).
This nine (9) month long program helps youth determine what they believe or want to explore further in their spiritual journeys. The program includes: 1 information night, 16 classes, 1 retreat weekend, 2-3 field trips, 3 required special worship services or holy week services, a service project, a mentor relationship with another church member, and a confirmation rehearsal, service and celebration.
