Worship

“I believe everybody needs to feel that somebody cares for them. If your week has been difficult, I want you to know you can come to Trinity on Sunday morning just to be in a safe place and be with people who care what happens to you. I want people to feel kindness and caring here. Caring for one another is part of living out God’s commandment “to love one another.” — Sandy Baldwin

Worship: General Information

Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Hebrews 13:2

At Trinity we are a liturgical church, which means we follow a set service and pray from texts that are based in the Book of Common Prayer.  The altar hangings and vestments change colors with the seasons of the church or the type of service, but the format remains the same, which gives worship a familiar feeling each week.

Clergy and laity together provide a service that lifts the consciousness, spirits, hearts and minds of all in attendance.  The singing, praying, communion and hearing the Word are how we express thanks and praise to God. Worship is our opportunity to be supported and strengthened so that we can go out into the world in service to others.

Regular worship services are as follows:

8:00 am
This is a traditional Holy Eucharist Rite II service that uses modern language, with a short sermon and no music.

10:00 am
This is a traditional Holy Eucharist Rite II service.  The choir helps lead the singing of the hymns, and frequently sings a glorious and moving anthem.  Sometimes hand chimes, violins and trumpets add to the uplifting musical praises.

12:10 pm Wednesday
Holy Eucharist and Healing Service
Each week we offer a service of Holy Eucharist including the laying on of hands for healing.  Anyone who is sick and in need of a healing prayer is welcome to attend.

"When I was told I was going to shortly die I went to the Healing Service. When Lucy put her hands on me I felt "it" and I knew I wouldn't die so soon. My life changed that day so I thank God for the Healing Service and for the 50th birthday I wasn't supposed to reach." — Bob Cromer

All baptized Christians are invited to the Lord's table.

All are invited to participate in personal prayers at the font during Communion.

Usually the flower arrangements on the altar and on the Children's Altar are given to the Glory of God and in loving memory of family and loved ones. To make this request, email or telephone the office.

We consider it a privilege to have you worship with us and sincerely hope you receive a blessing from the service.
