The Very Rev'd Thomas W. Blake

The Revd. Blake arrived at Trinity in the summer of 2022, serving as Priest-in-Charge through December 2024. In 2025, he was called and instituted as Trinity’s 48th Rector. His ministry emphasizes community engagement, thoughtful liturgy and preaching, and lifelong faith formation.

Originally from Wilmington, North Carolina, Father Blake was educated at Duke University and Virginia Theological Seminary. Now in his twenty-sixth year of ordained ministry, he has served Episcopal parishes in Maryland, Indiana, and Nevada, as well as Executive Director of the Capital City C.I.R.C.L.E.S. Initiative, a nonprofit addressing poverty in Carson City, Nevada.

Father Blake has been elected multiple times as a Deputy to the General Convention of The Episcopal Church and currently serves as Dean of the South-Central Region of the Episcopal Church in Connecticut. He also serves as Chaplain to the New Haven Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and is actively involved with the Shoreline Racial Justice Alliance.

He is married to the Revd. Chad Adamik, Senior Pastor of Tabor Lutheran Church in Branford. Together they enjoy music, theatre, collecting art, afternoon teas, travel, day trips to New York City, and caring for their miniature poodles, Abby and Sebastian, and their cat, Bobo.

Our Vestry

Parishioners elect Vestry members and Diocesan Convention representatives at our Annual Meeting. The Vestry includes the parish Officers—Rector, Senior and Junior Warden, Treasurer, and Parish Clerk—along with elected members who serve three-year terms. Officers are elected for one-year terms.

The Vestry holds fiduciary and policy-making responsibility for the parish, ensuring that our resources and ministries reflect our mission: that all may know themselves beloved. In addition to governance, the Vestry works collaboratively to develop the strategic vision for Trinity Episcopal Church, guiding our community in faith, stewardship, and service.
