Ordinary Time is not a season. It is two periods in between seasons and major feasts, between the season of Christmas and Lent and from the Feast of Pentecost at the end of the Easter season until the start of Advent.

The color for these Sundays is green, the color of growth as we experience the growth of our faith through Jesus' teaching, in-between the major events of his life.
