The Annual New England Lobster Dinner (June)

The Trinity Church Annual New England Lobster Dinner takes place on the Saturday of the Branford Festival weekend. Come to the Festival and plan on having supper with us!  On the menu:  Lobster, steamers, coleslaw, corn-on-the cob, roll and beverages. Gather family and friends to eat inside, or picnic on the Green and enjoy the musical entertainment.

Tickets are $30 each. Use PayPal or a credit card to purchase now, and your tickets will be waiting at the door. Pre-orders are preferred (to help with the buying), but walk-ins are welcome! Proceeds go to Branford Cares, helping our neighbors meet their basic needs.

We've Got Dessert, Too!

Check out our home-baked cookies, cakes and pies. Trinity is famous for its fabulous baking! Eat a cookie or two while you walk around, and don't forget to take something home. All proceeds from baked goods go to the Outreach Ministry, which benefits those in the most need.

Trinity Fair (September)

Dottie
Dottie Packer,
Fair Coordinator
Trinity Fair is our most important fundraiser of the year. The Fair is over 100 years old, in one form or another. It is held on the first Saturday in September.  Colorful marquis tents appear on the Town Green, designating what’s for sale, what’s for fun, and what’s to eat! Fortunately, Trinity has members who love to cook and bake! The Food Tent eating starts early as volunteers serve a fabulous blueberry pancakes breakfast;  mid-morning home-made peach cobbler and apple crumble with real whipped cream appears (and disappears!); then it’s a grilled lunch and home-baked goods. There’s something for everyone!  Did we mention there’s also the baked-goods tent for your take-home purchase!?

Tag salePreparation for the Fair goes on most of the year by our members.  Quilters quilt, crafters make crafts, furniture items are continually sold from March to October, raffle tickets are sold, closets cleaned out, etc.

Parishioners and townspeople donate good quality items for re-sale including glassware, china, jewelry, baked goods, crafts, holiday decorations, and more. If you love good quality treasures at a bargain, the Tag Sale tent is a must-see.  Got furniture to donate?  Contact trinityfair@trinitybranford.org.

Silent AuctionThe Silent Auction is fantastic!  There’s a huge selection of items—products, free professional services, free home and garden services, gift baskets, hosted events, outings, children’s baskets, and so much more--all beautifully displayed. This is well worth a visit and a bid!  Items can be dropped off beginning in August.  Got something to donate, or a service to offer, or a great idea?  Contact silentauction@trinitybranford.org. When you are the bid winner, use PayPal to pay and pick up your winnings from the church office within thirty days.

The Trinity quilters produce a hand-made quilt each year.   The design and colors are different every year, but the response is always the same, “this one is the most beautiful yet!” Raffle tickets are sold all summer long on the steps of the Church, at the Branford Jazz Festival Concerts on the Green, and at the Church. Trinity quilts are coveted, so be sure to buy your tickets for your chance to win.

All donations to the Fair are most gratefully received, but your presence is the real gift.  At the Fair, there’s such energy in the air, smiles on every face, and fellowship among all the volunteers.  It’s contagious!  We hope to see you, and thank you for your support.

Town Tree Lighting Night (November)

Tree It’s cold and dark on the Saturday of Thanksgiving week, as the Green fills with community members who have come to witness a town parade and the lighting of the Town Christmas Tree. Trinity Church offers hospitality to everyone, with a warm cup of cocoa. Join with the Choir as they sing the first Christmas carols of the season. Behind those red doors you’ll find wonderful architecture and the beauty of the stained glass windows.  Welcome!
